What are polished plasters made from?

Marble powder.

Our traditional Venetian plasters are an authentic and natural product made from lime putty and crushed white cararra marble by the long established Italian company Stucco Italiano.

The powdered marble is sifted and separated into differing sizes of grains so as to make the various finishes, then mixed with carefully selected aged lime powders and putty. The finest marble powders are used for our Classico and Carrara Marmorinos, and the coarser grains and chippings for Intonachino and Dilavato.

These can then tinted as required from our extensive colour chart, or be mixed with a number of tradition decorative additives such as terra cotta or mother of pearl.
